Am 19.01. kollabierte in Teheran das in den oberen Stockwerken brennende Hochhaus “Plasco”. Die Aufräumarbeiten neigten sich am 25.01. dem Ende zu. Laut offizieller Statistik vom 26.01. gab es 20 Todesopfer, darunter 16 Feuerwehrleute. Am 24.01. zitierten staatliche Medien jedoch einen Polizisten, dass es noch um die 200 Vermisste geben soll. Der Polizist soll laut Oppositionsangaben jetzt verhaftet worden sein.

Quoting a police officer at Bahrestan Police Station, state-run news outlets in Iran had reported on 24 January 2017 that some 200 have been reported on missing persons in Plasco fire. The reports quoted the officer as saying: “We have been very busy since morning. To be honest with you some 200 person have come to us up to know and declared someone missing in the fire. What a disaster has become. It is unbelievable that that many people have been trapped in the rubles… and no one knows about it.””

Wenn es tatsächlich noch nicht gefundene Opfer gibt, stellt sich die Frage, wie das passieren konnte. In den WTC-Türmen wurden hunderte Menschen “verpulverisiert” und konnten trotz DNA-Untersuchungen niemals gefunden werden.
